One thing I know for a fact is that since I put on the Mud Terrain tyres, it made a HUGE impact on my SWB's consumption.4ePikanini wrote:
I havelearned in the brief time of my 3.2 ownership that the following plays a huge role in the 3.2 Di-D consumption
acceleration rate
cruising speed
tyre pressures
500ppm seems to be more economical on pre 2004 models.
I do the same speed, same tyre pressures (the new MTs require a higher pressure for achieving the best noise/comfort levels compared to the previous ATs) and my driving style has not changed nor the type of fuel (50 vs 500 ppm)
So, the only conclusion left is the MTs. My consumption has dropped from approx 550km in-town driving to approx 430km (I dont want to calculate this to l/100kms, etc as I dont want to know what it is...)
