My 1996 GEN 2 LWB 3.5L V6 pajero is leaking inside the cabin when it is raining heavily or the A/C has been running for a while. It leaks on both sides. On the passenger side it seems to run down the sidewall underneath the carpet. The A/C or heavy rain causes this to happen. On the driver side water is dripping on the accelerator pedal. This side only seems to leak when it is raining heavily. Any help will be appreciated.
Water in the passenger side footwell after running the AC for a while is because of a blocked condenser drain pipe.
The water after rain is most likely because of rust in your a-pillar, most likely in the bottom corner of the windscreen, but could even be at the top. This is a common problem with vehicles of our vintage. Have your windscreen removed have that a-Pillar repaired.
