New Pajero 3.2 Di-D engine vs old one
Is the new (2011) 3.2 diesel engine as good as the old one? I am thinking of buying the new LWB 3.2 Di-D model - it is a little quieter and, with the new engine, the engine compartment has more space for a dual battery system. I didn't feel that the performance was really much better than my old Di-D, however.

Many thanks.
I presume Mitsubishi Motor's claim that consumption is 9L/100 is reasonable.

Only under perfect conditions. Look here for a better indication of the 3.2's consumption.

I drive fairly hard with my 140kW Pajero LWB 3.2, I really enjoy the power and acceleration, although I cant compare to the previous 121kW model. I get 8.6km/l (11.6L/100) avg and 9.5 (10.5L/100) on long roads with not too many accelerations / overtaking, driving about 120km true speed.
