Hi all,
Since I'm new to the Pajero's 4X4 system I was wondering about the flashing lights when engaging the small lever.
I've tried the diffrent shift positions before and each time I go back to 2H, it takes very long for the diffrent lights to stop flashing.
Is this normal?
Can I drive like that until it stops flashing or much I try to get them to stop asap?
Thanks
Pierre
I have made troubleshooters on it. See my website in my signature.
Thanks Marius - from the bit I read it seems like I have to start by using the 4X4 system more often - that will be easy

Pierre,
The flashing lights can be :
One: some switches on gearbox can be sticky
Two: It can be a wiring problem from switches to ECU.
Mine has been flashing in 2H for ever and I have not solved the problem yet. Must admit did not have the expertise to fix and did not have time RRRRRR to take in to have a look at.
Mine's transfer system is working perfectly.
Remember when you exit LLC mode it will take a second or two and most of the time you just have to reverse a meter or two for it to disengage. and sometimes when rear diff is engaged as well.
The whole system works on vacuum as well as the front hubs engage.
Check your vacuum lines and the solenoids in engine bay for faults.I have not checked the solenoids as yet and neither do I know how to test them .
Under your vehicle should be a black round vacuum storage tank just at rear front support beam and there is vacuum lines going to it. Check the tank if it is ok by checking for cracks or maybe a vacuum line puncture-these lines are rubber and can sometimes puncture or crack. They are colour coded and should be going to right colour solenoids as well.
hope this helps a bit.
