Pajero 1996 3.5lt 4x4
hi there, i bought an pajero :D but the clutch started to slip :o, so i took out the very big gearbox and not i just want to find out if there's any tricks or tips or somewere i can read about it for when i but it back in, thanks.

Firstly - Welcome to the forum
Secondly - An introduction would be great as there are a few 4e's on the forum. :)

The gearbox is pretty simply to put back but it's crucial to have a good trolley jack and a couple of helpers to help manhandle it as it's pretty heavy.

NB
- consider replacing the rear crank seal and the gearbox input shaft seal
- replace the clutch release bearing while you have access.
- replace the freeze (welsch) plugs in that area while you have access, if there are any traces of corrosion in the cooling system
- make sure you get a clutch alignment tool to centre the clutch otherwise you will not get the gearbox in if the clutch isn't centered.
