The other night my immobiliser failed to work. I had the override with me but in the dark it's quite hard to find the override with the alarm screaming blue murder. In a parking garage nogal. I had never used the torch in the back door toolkit but found it and disabled the immobiliser by the torches dim light.

This afternoon I decided to change the batteries in the torch. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the batteries were Mitsubishi batteries and I'm willing to bet they were the same ones delivered with the vehicle. Not bad that they were still functional after 15 years and not even a sign of leakage!

These are cute. They have them at Cape Union Mart as well. I have mine plugged into the console compartment. Advantage is that it is always charged.
