Hi all,
I've got the silly Super Select flicking lights issue at the moment. Booked in for later in the week to sort out.
From what I read the lights are merely indicators, with the short lever position telling the actual truth.
Problem is that my centre diff indicator light is also just flicking and not engading, and even if it does, it seems that due to the flicking light (or the fact that it is not fully engaded), the rear difflock will not engade which is a bummer,
So I was thinking, is it not possible to do a bypass to enable the use of rear difflock even when in 2H (like a 4x2 almost) instead of having to go full locks only for the rear difflock to work?
Thanks
Yes I have done it with my 3.5 Blister Fender and it works perfect. Cost R120 and no more pray select and works even in 2 wheel drive mode like a bakkie.

Thanks Theuns - was beginning to think I asked an impossible question
Would be nice to be able to use rear difflock even in 2H.
Please provide more info. Who did it for you and what is the procedure if I have to tell my Mac what to do.
Cheers
Pierre

Hi Freshman, GOOD NEWS I have tried it today and it works
By running a positive and negative directly to the pump you can turn it on and off as you please
It works in 2H, 4H, 4HLc, 4LLc
I am going to bypass my this weekend permanently
Then there is no more unplanned disengagement

Lekke lekke Bosbok,
Please do a nice full write-up on how you did it with pics and all.
Hopefully the Mods will then make it a sticky on the site!
Thanks

Sorry I did not see your post until now.
However the switch that was used has a light to show when it is on.
It still shows the lights on the dash as in the past. The switch for difflock is now part of the system but not relying on the fickleness of the magic xmas tree.
Please get an auto electrician to do but first strip the rear seats out and the panel where the pump is hiding on the right hand side. Save labour costs and make it easy for the electrician to do the wiring.

Hi Theunsb. How can I get in contact with you? I need to get the same diff-lock modification done but need some info or maybe your auto-electrician's contact details? Thank you.
Hi guys with the manual diff locks,
I installed a lock diff in my 2004 GSL that came standard with traction control. I installed a Pajero diff lock switch next to the instrument lights dimmer switck and it looks totally original.
One word of warning: Make sure that you have a warning light that will indicate that you are infact driving with a locked diff. If by chance you should forget to "unlock" the diff and drive on tar or solid surface the locked diff and or half shafts cane get damaged .
