Tyres condition?

Price seem fair for the kilos if it is auto. If manual I would try and get a few bob down still. The manual should sell about R8-10K less than a comparable auto. Doesnt seem to have any extras that you are scoring, but that can also indicate that it was just a moms taxi all its life, which is not such a bad thing.

CATS
Is a Auto. Tyres are Yokohama geo and still have a good 30000km on them. will put AT's when they are done. Ja it looks like a moms taxi by the seats etc. no noticeable scratches on the doors etc. from trees so don't think it has seen much overland or 4x4 tracks. underside also very clean from bumps etc.

O ja one extra is it has park distance control, after market I presume. The make is Laser....., with 2 black blocks in the grill and one at the back?

So you reckon the price is good. It is really clean and has been looked after. Reckon was moms taxi with the amount of kilos, 18000 a year.

Well, at the time I struggled to find a Gen 3 DID, so supply and demand make the rules. If you are not in a hurry then wait for a bargain somewhere, but if your are - compare the price with the current market prices and make a call accordingly. I am not up to date with the current value on these cars.

Currently a friend is looking for a newish Gen 4 DID and is having trouble finding one - they are all sold when he calls!

Re: Advice on purchase
Hi,

Bought my 2005 LWB GLS in March for R195 000 with 137 000km on. Just for comparison.

Paid almost full trade value because LWB vehicles are so scarce.

Regards,

PS. happy birthday Zeek, go and sign those papers, birthday present from yourself to yourself

It is done. Picked her/him (not sure yet) up on Saturday morning. Drives so lekker. Went to DeWildt yesterday to test everything.
Low range works well, in auto and gears. Diff lock works very very well. Still has road tires on, will change them when they are done, still got couple of km's on them. Would like some height but all in good time.
We so happy SWAMBO and the girls love it.

It is "her". The "hims" are only found a bit to the North of you (Blue Bull country), and they have distinct blue male symbols hanging on their towbars!

Enjoy her, and I hope she gives you many joyfull miles!
