Good morning fellow Pajero owners, first of all I would like to thankyou for letting me join this great club!!!

I have a 1992 2.5td exceed and looking to update the model but I am having trouble deciding between a year 2000 DID 3200 or a year 2000 3500 gdi any advice, pros and cons ,fuel consumption on both of these please!!

Have heard a few negative things about the 3500 GDI motor are they any good.

Welcome here. The Gdi was never available in South Africa although we did have the 3.5 petrol engine, so you might not get a lot of comments on that from SA owners.

The 3.2 Did is a beautiful, solid and reliable engine with decent performance figures.

Of course the two are like chalk and cheese being diesel and petrol respectively.

Thanks alot CATS for your feedback so Looks like diesel it is!!!! bit of a noisy motor though but sounds like a cheeky bugger!! saw it in action towing today pulls like a beast!
