After allot of research on the inteweb, and doing some mock-ups trying to find the best and simplest solution to the packing problem I came up with this simple false floor for the rear of my Gen 2.
It attaches to the jump seat anchor points on the mudguards, and can be removed at any time.
There are no complicated drawers to deal with. Although a fridge slide would be a nice addition.
4 ammo boxes fit underneath, and the fridge and aux battery sits on top leaving enough space for clothes, tents and other camping equipment.

Hi Jurgen,
That looks great, very neat job too. You will get very attached to that mod.
Cheers

Thanks David, yes, the mod now doubles as a boot, valuble objects can be stored underneath and out of sight.
Hi Jurgen,
I've done a similar thing on my Gen3, just used Aluminium and created a box shape to form the packing shelf, the fridge slide itself is the easy part to make and takes around an hour or 2 from start to finish.

Just makes such a big difference accessing the boot and always that 1 item right at the bottom of everything
Cheers

Hi Jurgen
It looks great and I'm sure it's very practical. Sometimes I wish I had a LWB - so much more packing space!
Regards
Michael
