DiD v 2.8 Colt
Would like to ask for comments from other Pajero drivers please. Recently I was on a trip in my 2005 3.2 Pajero - 200 000km) and passed a 2.8 Colt on a flatter section of road. When I got to a hilly area the Colt caught up with me and seemed to maintain its speed, and accelerate, more easily than I could and it caught me fairly easily.

I would not have thought this would have been the case and would have expected to have had superior capabilities to the Colt. Do you fellow Pajero drivers experience similar performance compared to the Colt?

The colt may have mods to the engine. Extra boost etc.

Or maybe the colt is lighter? Kw/tonne?

Re: DiD v 2.8 Colt
Was a std looking Colt on the N2. The Colt is a bit lighter but:

Colt 92 kW/294 nm and 1880kg or so therefore roughly 49kw and 156.4nm per ton

Pajero 121 kW/373 nm and 2150kg or so therefore roughly 56kw and 173.5nm per ton

maybe mine has just let some of its horses escape over the previous 200 000km or could it be the auto box effect?

Re: DiD v 2.8 Colt
the autobox has longer gearing and if you have bigger wheels that makes it worse.
