Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?

Yes, four bolts. The lift that you can get is totally dependant on the length of the new bolts. The standard ones are 140mm long. So, if you can get 180mm bolts, you can lift the rear end by 40mm, etc.

The lift is basically moving the whole body upwards by eg 40mm away from the rear suspension subframe. Unfortunately the ground clearance below the subframe and suspension parts stays the same but the body is moved upwards by the amount of lift thus giving a greater break-over angle and better departure angle.

Cloyd
Is this the lift you did? I saw there are lots of little pipes going from the body to the subframe - were the pipes long enough for you to do the lift? Also, is the radiator attached to the body or the subframe?

Regarding the spacer lift being considered for the group buy, we might have to change the thread topic to Gen3 and Gen4 group buy if all goes well :D

Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?
no, I tried to fit a spacer between the shock strut and the body for the front and just an extra spacer on the rear spring.
Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?
Hou my ook in die "loop" - afhangende van koste is ek ook in. Wat is die voordele/nadele van dei manier van lig teenoor ander coils en spring of airlifters?

Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?
The advantage is the price and keeping the current "softness" of your current setup.

If you use different springs and/or airbags (airbags only work on the rears anyway) you may get a too soft or too hard suspension.

Doing the spacers keep everything on the suspension the same as it was except the car is lifted.

Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?
Uys has indicated a cost of R950 per pair of front spacers made from Billet catering for either between 40 to 50mm effective lift. Still waiting for cost from Uys on rear and checking some alternatives on sourcing a Mand Cruiser 80 series spacer which fits as well on the Pajero rear as an option. Anybody know of a place that sells polyurethane suspension products that can makeup to spec?q
Re: Gen3 Lift group buy?
Mikem will make to spec. Any word from them on pricing?

Nothing from lynx unfortunately.

Mikem needs dimensions, haven't had a chance to get there as yet, they are in JHB CBD, things a bit hectic, will see if I can get there this week, and can finalise cost for front and rear from Mikem for 40 and 50mm lift.
