PS to my previous post.

The spares availability monster has not been put to bed by a long shot. Honest and constructive communication with Mitsu on this subject will go a long way to calming the waters.

Simon, My own little piddle stream. It is a good idea to have excellent contact with "Them" but the club must remain independent. Excellent idea to have some of "their" service and parts advisors as general contacts.

Good contact between the two groups will be mutually beneficial and we should make use of them at all and every opportunity.

Much has been said, but the one golden thread in all the posts is the fact that we should not loose our independence. And that is not negotiable.

It would be nice to have the importer on board.

I agree with most comments. I think it would be good if Mistubishi can comment on actions taken on the queries raised in the forum. How about offering technical assistance in the forum?

I think the collective technical resources of the members would even let mitsu post their questions here

Sadly having initiated this, I have responded to Braam to set something up. Since then nothing...

I rest my case.

Re: Mitsubishi Motors South Africa and the Pajero Club
We must decide how we want to play this.

If Mitsu is under the impression that we 'need' them and they can start pushing us around (by ignoring communications, eg), we must set that right.

Even though it might be advantageous to have them aboard, we have survived very well without them.

I would suggest we write them a friendly letter stating that since they did not respond to our letter, we consider the matter closed, and will post a statement to that effect on the forum.
