I have too much time on my hands these days.
1. Drivers door central locking not working. the other doors are fine, locks and unlocks, where do I start
2. My rear left seat does not want to fold over to increase the rear loading space, the right is fine.
3. Does anybody have a list of tools that are stored in the rear door? I'd like to re-stock the tool kit.
4. I have a bit of a scratching noise while driving. I have a suspicion that it could be the little pin thingy on the clutch. How much (I think I know) work is it to replace this.
5. Who knows of a reputable place in the easr rand that can re-leather my steering wheel and upholstery.
That's all I can think of for now.
I think I need the 4E's advise again!!
NUMBER 6!! What does the original radiator look like. Cause someone said that mine is suppose to be a plastic radiator. Reason I'm asking. My pulled the bi truss trailor again today to Witbank. She was the whole way there at about 90km/h, but on the way back at a 100km/h with an empty trailor she got hot. She stopped threw water over the radiator and boom within a minute or two she was cool again. She checked the water level and everything was fine. No burst pipe or leaks or anything she could pick up.
Now all I can think is the dude that said to me check the radiator might have a point.
Lets somme start there then. Whare and what radiator should I get??

1. http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/sho ... php?t=4770
2. dissassembling is the only way to look what is faulty
3. dealers sells the whole kit for less than a grand
4. read through this thread and diagnose - come back with a more detailed description - https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/sh ... 700&page=1
5. can't help you there but look for a place that has been around for years
6. start with the basics. get a genuine mitsu 0.9 bar radiator cap. Genuine mitsu thermostat. Make sure you have fresh coolant and distilled water in the proper mix. Then test your viscous. If all those still fail you have a headgasket problem or a lean running problem or your core is caput ( re-core to a 3-row if you re-core )
Hope this gets you going

It seems that the solution was simple, to stop the Pajero from Overheating I cut out the inner workings of the Thermostat and just put the seal bit back. She now runs cool, and smooth. It looks like the thermo was completely shot. Closing when it open and vise versa. I could get up to a 110km/h without running way tooooo hot. but when I slowed down and put ran 4th gear she was cool again, no without the thermo I ran her for about 60km at 160km/h(fast I know but I had to be sure) with not as much as a hiccup.
Thanx again guy's

running a vehicle with no thermostat increases wear on the components. The vehicle is designed to run at a certain temp. Below that temp the tolerances are out of spec and accelerates wear.
My advice would be to drop a genuine mitsu thermostat in there.

Hi Marius
I phoned every dealer in Gauteng and every dealer from gauteng to Polokwane and from polokwane to Sodwana, everyone has to wait a two or three days for stock. and that meant that I would miss every dealer as we travel after hours for the sake of the kids. No one has stock of the one that I need. And I could not take the chance of her overheating on a 3000km trip. That's why I took it out for now.
Bu I will replace ASAP

Be gentle on the engine during this time.
