I'm just doing a quick survey to gauge the Pajero Club Forum compared to other forums.
The basic question is "How usable is the Pajero Club Forum compared to other forums?"
Some people have said they struggle with the interface, so I want your opinions on usability, specifically compared to any of your other favourite forums. So be honest. Let me know why you think the Pajero Club forum is better (or worse) than your other forums. I also need the link to that forum.
Please, I'm not looking for comments on the design, like backgrounds, colours etc.

I am on a high latency, high packet loss connection and sometimes the widdit stuff makes my pages hang on Pocsa. Other forums not an issue.
I tried blocking it via internet options but it prevails.
The fastest loader for me is www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum
The only other gripe is that I hate uploading one file at a time on posts.

I don't think phpBB is quite what VBuletin is as far as user friendliness goes, and it is really bad for moderation (not that we need it often
)
It does however get the job done.
To me the content is more important than the BB software in any case.

Simon,
It would be nice to be able to view the "Subscribe" function's e-mail notifications in the mail sent itself without having to first log into the website.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head - I'm considering moving to vBulletin.
Reasons:
1) Moderation and Admin is superior
2) Every time there's an upgrade I spend MANY hours doing code edits on some of the mods. Half of these mods are built into vBulletin
3) Better security.
4) My biggest headache is the user sync between the two platforms (front end and forum). It's not working properly and try as I might it's not going to work properly.
All my favourite sites are on vBulletin.
Main issue is the licence fees I would have to pay (US$285)

The fact that most of us here are also on the 4X4 Community forum, means that we are spoiled regarding user friendliness.
A move to that platform will be an improvement.

My 2c worth.
I like this site's interface (as long as 3rd party ajax components are not misbehaving):
The interface is clean and way more visually appealing than 4x4forum or pajeroclub.com.au/forum/
Usability is good and mostly intuitive.
And tip-top admin, too.

I agree with andrew, the admin is very active and the content is informative.
The forum does load very slowly at times, my only problem.

Being a user and seeing the drama in implementing an upgrade on phpBB makes me sort of happy in my limited knowledge of the code and execution thereof. The Sanparks forum also runs on phpBB, they have two full time web developers and they can not get it 100% and are for ever applying patches and fixes with limited success. I have a fair idea of the hours spent in maintaining this forum and in keeping it reasonably up to date so with that in mind I am sure there is a little princess that would welcome an easier option, more time with her daddy would be so welcome
Visual impact and interface is the result of many hours of slogging and design to get it right so regardless of platform congratulations to Simon

The redevelopment is coming along slowly.
Is there anyone who thought they might want to blog about their travels/pajero/pajero related activities ?
