Yes PowerBrake dics are magic. Great stopping power and smoothness. To me the only way to go. I have paid R2872 all incl. for the two front discs and a set of front pads. This is cheaper than what you can get the OE discs for. Bought rear pads from Mitsu dealers for R800 or thereabout. DIY Installation really not difficult. Alternatively take the new spares to a general workshop where you should not pay more than about two hours of labour at about R500.

What is a reasonable life in km to get from the following, assuming normal use and limited offroad with no towing:
1. Front brake pads
2. Front brake discs
3. Rear brake pads
4. Rear brake drums-in-discs
I noticed in the service history of the Pajero LWB i have just bought that they replaced brakes at every 20,000km service interval, this sounds excessive?

I was in a bit of a tight spot and had to have my vehicles brakes sorted cause we had run out of time. Replace front and back discs and pads and replace hand brake shoes - just over R6000.00
