Help needed with dislodged cable- sorted!!
I have a 2008 3.2 GLS. Off to Richtersveld on Friday, and when checking dual battery, I noticed that one of the two earth cables from main battery has been dislodged. It looks like it came loose out of a lug. I had a look but cannot find the connection. The cable is black only, thus not the main one, is about 500mm long and as said, looks like it came loose from a lug.
Any ideas where this connection is suppose to go?

Thanks in advance.
Re: Help needed with dislodged cable
Hi Huey

Where is you secondary battery mounted, in the engine bay as things sound?

It proabaly pulled out of the lug grounding the battery negative on the chassis or secondary battery. Look and see for a bolt/stud on the chassis/engine within reach of the cable, should be a 8 or 10mm stud with a nut and detached lug on it.

Does the black cable go to the negative of the battery? I have heard of some installers running out of red cable and using black instead of red causeing MAJOR hassles down the road as it take a while to figure out... and blowing some fuses/batterys on the way.

Re: Help needed with dislodged cable
Thanks Nick. Sorted, it was an old cable, probably left there. Checked lug and saw that it was not factory crimped like all the OEM cables.

Removed it and everythings is working fine.

Thanks again.
