Bigwill, you are right of course, I was thinking of an after market fitment front DL. Very expensive, I hear. So the T/C with centre & rear DL seems an excellent idea. The one I am interested in has the DLs, but no T/C, which should be adequate in most situations. Has to be. :)

Hi Louis,

The rear diff lock is great and works a treat, in conjuction with the super select system the Pajero offers. I have the 2001 Gen 3 with Centre and rear difflock and I have not had the misfortune of not being able to get somewhere on my travels thus far. You will not be dissappointed with this setup and you will soon realise that the front D/L will become more of a nice to have than a necessity. If only the 1 front wheel has drive and the 2 rears have none you may be on a steep incline which will mean that the likelihood of 1 wheel pulling you out is slim and may need to review your line or route that you have taken to overcome such instances, know your vehicle and it will take you very far and will impress both you and those in your group.

Cheers

David
