Gen 3 CD Light blinking
I have read most of the threads around the flashing 4WD select lights, but am still not sure what to do next.

This afternoon coming from Tankwa to Ceres on the R355, the four green 'wheel' lights went off and the the centre diff started blinking. I stopped, turned off the ignition and had a look around. Could not see anything amiss, so I drove off. Suddenly all four green lights were on again.

When I hit tar, I tried to engage 2WD, but the front two green lights just kept on blinking and would not go out. So I stopped, switched off the ignition hoping it would reset again. It did not. So I drove off in 4WD again. Near Klapmuts, the orange CD light came on again. So I stopped, swithched off and selected 2WD and drove off again. Now only the two rear green lights were on as normal. It was fine all the way home.

Is this just a bit of Tankwa dust? Or the Tankwa rattles? Any suggestions?

Re: Gen 3 CD Light blinking
I also had the same some time ago, but mine was resolved when I fitted 4 new tyres. Previously I only fitted 2 new ones as one was written off due to a puncture and kept the other good one as a second spare. Since then zero problems and it engages and disengages a whole lot faster too. What I am getting at is - Are all 4 your wheels on the same size and run down level? I never thought that this could be an issue as surely tyres are not all pumped the same as well, but it definitely had an effect on mine.

Re: Gen 3 CD Light blinking
Strange that you mention it. The problem stared after I had blow out. The spare is a different make and 265/65/17 whereas my other tyres are 275/65/17.

I am fitting two new tyres tomorrow morning, one to replace the sidewall blowout and another to ensure the spare is the same size.

Thanks for the tip..
