Is the Masterparts bearings safe? I don't wnat to take chances with something like wheel brearings
I have used them for 18500 km so far with NO issues, I think JohanV has couriered them up to Jo'burg to use as well.
It all boils down to the fact that its your choice, I feel safe driving my family around with them on. Timkin have a proven track record in the industry.

I will remember to shop at masterparts next time. Unfortunately mitshu already have the go ahead on the bearings. I hope they will last the next 200 000km. This is done, time to move onto the next thing.
So we learn, pay out school fees......it's the only way.

Ok, so it seems everyone is swapping out their rear bearings, I'm doing the front.
I'll use master parts for the rear when time is due. Hope not to soon, just need to recover from the current costs.
I really didn't plan on this happening otherwise I would have taken it to Henk or Mitspro or if we weren't going to mozambique later this month I would have waited till January.
This is life, still have to go and pay, luckily that is only tomorrow. Pajero will only be done tomorrow.

Hi,
Do yourself a favour,go and have check the shocks.
I had same probleme I would not belief, but new shocks, new tyres
and voila....
Checking the shocks are not so expensive,it is worth before pulling out your hair.
I was also allready in tears, fustrated and unhappy.
Peter
If it is not the shocks at least you tried......
The wearing on the tyres will indicate also the unfriendly shocks....

Shocks are relativly new.
Bearings has been replaced at mitshu stealers. R7070 fot both the front berings. I realy hope they last another 200 000km.
Now I have a new question...I drive about 10km to and from work. Slow traffic, not to much stop and go, no excesive breaking. The mags gets hot, now I'm not sure if its normal, but it gets to a temp where you can still touch it, but a few degrees more and it will burn you. Am I being paranoid or is this normal? Front is obviously hotter than the rear...guess they work harder, more weight, more breaking.
