Hi Everyone,

I managed to do some damage to my LWB Gen-4 standard under-body protection plates on the weekend. The sump guard is fine, but the one behind that got pretty mangled, as did the fuel tank protection box

Have any members here replaced these with after-market units, and perhaps kept the original ones? I'd be interested in taking them over as short term items until i can replace with Stofpad?

If so, let me know your price. You'll be making my December trip to E.C. a little less worrisome

That i am GT. But the timing is k*k. He is closing shop till next year, and we're heading to E.C. for a couple of weeks and I thought i'd just ask here in case anyone had some O.E. ones lying around that i could use until Jan/Feb...

I was hoping to get spacers from Uys in the mean time, but i'm still waiting for people to pay me, so i can pay him! and it's SWAMBO's birthday this weekend so, well, $$$ she be FLYING OUT THE DOOR faster than a scalded cat!

If it's urgent you might be able to get the lynx ones from a LA sport shop? But suspect that will be slightly more expensive... Or you can try pick them up from lynx in the east rand...

I was at a mates braai last night and it turns out he might be able to make one for me. They do this type of thing for their own fleet of site-bakkies so i'll pop around there sometime and have a chat to his designers etc.

The transmission case is not that big of a deal. we panel beat the mangled O.E. one on the side of the trail on sunday so it'll be ok for the short term. My main worry is the fuel tank. It's not punctured but the protector looks like it was mauled by an angry badger-lion cross breed!

I'll just have to avoid rocky grade-4's on our trip to E.C.

btw: I see that Frontrunner have plates for the BK LWB. Good prices too...

Frontrunner must have developed those recently. When I was looking for a plate earlier this year they only made for the gen3.
