Good day, following 2 years of absolutely NO issues with my Pajero Gen 3 (280 000km), the front driver window this morning started to give some problems. The window goes up, but stop and go down again (as if it detects an intrusion in the window frame). When forced with my hand on the window I managed to get it to close. Phoned the dealers this morning and was advised that it will cost about R5500 if it is the mechanism or R1500 if it is the regulator or less if it is just a setting. How will I know if it the regulator or setting?
Is the cost quoted accurate orcan someone recommend another place in the East Rand / Jhb area.
Thanks, was thinking to take to Panelbeater to get their quote. Will keep you posted. Very annoying, one does not realise how many times the window needs to be opened until it does not work anymore

My friend had a similar issue on his triton.Turned out that the window was running a bit tight in the tracks and saw it as a intrusion.
He bought a can of silicon spray and sprayed the entire rubber track area.Worked the window once or twice and issue gone.Maybe worth a try
