Rear door hinges
My Pajero went into my father's garage where I'm going to be fitting the fender flares.
First things first though, since it's going to be inside for a while this is the perfect opportunity to have the rear hinges fixed. The upper hinge has a lot of play in it, to the extent that I've been worried about it just giving up and the door falling off. Needless to say closing it with the 33" spare on it required some muscle.

First problem was actually getting the car into my fathers modestly sized garage. This was accomplished by deflating the tires as much as I dared. The picture also shows my "plow", going to do something about that while it's in there.

Second photo shows the amount of tire deflation needed. I knew those extra stemless valves would come in handy :D

Third photo shows the state of the upper hinge. Not good at all.

Now for the real fun. To unplug the wires going to the rear door, the right hand side rearmost seat has to be removed, and then the trim removed. The plugs are under the bracket the seat bolts on to. Then the "stay bar" that keeps the door from opening too much and holds it open, the one under the door, has to be unscrewed. This is fastened with bolts that have low heads and are rusted stuck. Of course I destroyed the heads on both, finally took a grinder to one. The other one got scared and I managed to get that loose. Then you have to remove all the bolts and hold the door up at the same time. That is really not a one person job.

To remove the hinges from the door you need to remove the door trim and unscrew three bolts per hinge. You also have to knock out the doorstopper pin. The hinges look big enough to hold up a sizable gate, which probably weighs about the same as the Pajero rear door.

I ended up taking four hours to remove the door. Granted part of that was spent looking for a 12mm top and part was spent drinking tea or smoking and cursing Mitsubishi, lost tools and the gods.

Re: Rear door hinges
Found some more pictures from fixing the hinges. My mechanic tells me I'm an idiot and shouldn't have removed the door, just one hinge at a time. That way I wouldn't have had to tear apart half the car to get to unplug the electric wires to the rear door. The door is perfect now though, every time I use the car I find an excuse to open it and close it. :D

Below are the six bolts you need to loosen to adjust the door, but I think once it starts sagging, the hinges are going to go pretty fast.
