Rattle on ARB front bumper
Sometimes you just have to have a good laugh - today you can have it at my expense.

On Saturday, when I was driving over the speed bumps in Lonehill, I heard a strange new rattle from the front suspension (I guessed). As soon as went over a bump at anything more than a very sedate pace there it was - a high pitched vibration.

I did get out and take a quick look. Tried to flex the suspension - but couldn't see anything obvious, and couldn't replicate the noise and after all, the car is a 2002 vintage. But you get that nagging feeling and the pit of your stomach sinks. Now what? What's this going to cost? ... Many of you know that feeling.

Anyway, this is my daily driver, so I have probably done another 60+ km since Saturday - up to The Buzz Centre, over to Northern Deco Park, across to Bryanpark, back to Monte Casino View etc. And still, if I hit a bit of a bump, that high frequency rattle from the front end.

10 minutes ago I sat down at my desk and looked out the window where my paj is parked.

There on the front bumper (not hooked on or anything, just lying there) was my 10/11mm combination ring spanner.

Rattle solved.
