Hi All,
Heres a strange one........I have a 2010 GEN 4 3.2 SWB WITH 52000 KM on the clock. I have noticed that since new if the outside temperature reads anything below 21 degrees, the electronic compass does not function.....as in stuck. The dealer has not seen this problem before. Any ideas ?
Well we can rule out the possibility of using your Pajero for an intrument landing at night on an aircraft carrier
I assume you have tried the ubiquitous solution of disconnecting the battery to see if the little brainbox doesn't fix itself.
Personally will I not even know if my compass is stuck - it is so useless, I never look at it. In anycase, my consumption indicator out-thunders anything else in my dash

Hi Roelf
Good one about ILS.
I must say that the compass on the PAJ is quite accurate when it works. I have set it according to my Garmin GPS with a deviation of 15 degrees West. This is the correct setting for us in S.A.
This problem really baffles
me as I cannot see how temp would affect the compass.

King,
I have repeatedly set the deviation on mine, but my last two Pajeros have had useless compasses - both V6 models, wonder if that is my problem?
Must confess, your symptom doesn't make much sense.
