AFAIK you can't tow the auto from Bloem to Centurion without damaging the autobox. The lubrication for the box requires the input shaft (i.e. engine) to be running. Or am I wrong?
OK - had to check this and it may be a good reminder for us all.
This is what my owner's manual says:
For auto box make sure that the towing speed and distance are never exceeded: Speed 50km/h Distance 50km.
It further says that for distances greater than 50km ALL wheels must be off the ground - or the rear wheels must be off the ground.
So it would be interesting to know how the vehicle was towed?
