I would like to replace the interior wood trim of my Gen4 with a metal trim.
Can anybody recommend a good quality kit?
I've read you can buy it on ebay but had no success in finding it. I also see REMIN from CarID has something but I would like to know if you guys know of something else. The REMIN one seems to stick over the existing trim.
If possible, I would like to remove and replace the existing trim.
Thank you
Nobody got any suggestions? Somebody must have done this before?
I haven't replaced the interior trim, but from previous searches I've only found trim pieces that are stuck over the existing trim.
I don't know of any kits that replace the original trim.
Maybe you can have somebody manufacture a set for you.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
Nico

Hi, I am also no fan of wood finishes inside cars...
While not exactly the answer you are looking for I can offer this idea: There are vinyl wraps nowadays that look EXACTLY like brushed aluminium, titanium, etc. If you have the pieces professionally covered there will be no bubbles or overlaps and you know the pieces will fit back in perfectly. I think their name is "greensky".
(There is also another company that does 3D painting that can produce amazing airbrush-like effects, but I know this isn't what you're after)
Please post pics of before and after if you do it - I am keen to see the change.

Yes I'm with KaiV Why? The wood trim is so much better looking than the brushed aluminium Or get those fake carbon fibre stick on strips. But why!
If you can feel the grass between your toe's, your flying too low!

The wooden strips are easliy removed, especially around the dash area. They simply clip out and you can either have them sprayed or maybe rather be vinyl finished.
