Gen 3 Pajero Rear Bumper
I am wondering why I have not had this idea before. Recently, someone "tackled from behind" my Gen 3 LWB Pajero. The issue is still being "investigated", as the other driver is denying any wrong doing.

Now I need a rear bumber for my LWB. I am struggling to order one. Surely someone on this forum has a bumper lying around after changing to an ARB or TJM offroad bumper. The dealers are giving me the run around... since January. I need to get my Paj fixed. Can anyone help???

Hi,

When I did my replacement rear bumper they had to cut my original bumper, which means you have halve original and half replacement.....

Why don't you just get a replacement bumper? I had an issue with my rear bumper and it was cheaper to put a steel replacement bumper than to have it replaced by the OEM.

Lynx did my replacement bumper

Regards,

Skillie, what did the Lynx replacement rear bumper cost?

Cheers, Gareth

Re: Gen 3 Pajero Rear Bumper
Just for your information, I ordered a bumper from Lynx as well. I was promised fibreglass parts that would fit into the gaps between the bumper and the body. My original bumper was completely wrecked so I emailed them pictures of my car and they said that all was included

Here is the original email:

Hi Torsten,
Sien asb aangehegte foto’s soos bespreek.
Jou bumper sal nou net swart wees.
Die ander grys gedeeltes is ook in die prys ingesluit en dit sal fibre glass wees

Bumper arrived without fibreglass parts and after repeated phone calls I was told to go and buy a bumper from a scrap yard, because the company that used to make these parts is now bankrupt. Awesome customer service Lynx. Why did I call beforehand and make sure that these parts are available and now you tell me to cut up a bumper from a scrap yard? I guess it makes it real easy if your customer lives across the border.
So, if your bumper is kinda ok, go for it, otherwise you need to buy the OEM bumper as well as the one from Lynx. Or go scavenge on scrapyards.
On a lighter note…. Besides them being absolute douchebags about the fibreglass parts it is a really nice piece of kit and really fits well to the chassis with very little effort.

Pretty steep price for the crap service, I'd say!

Re: Gen 3 Pajero Rear Bumper
Hi
Several months since the last discussion on this thread.
Yesterday I damaged the left rear of my 2005 gen 3. This immediately opened up the possibility of a replacement bumper.
Do anyone have photos and recommendations on a replacement?
Re: Gen 3 Pajero Rear Bumper
So now I damaged the front bumper. SWAMBO drove into small car, and the front bumper will need replacing.

Last time the panel beater shop ended up doing some plastic welding to the broken bumper, and then painted over, so I didn't have to buy one.
