Fitting Navigation Display
I have recently purchased a 2012 Pajero Sport 3.2 and I am delighted with the vehicle however this model does not have the navigation and other display features fitted. Can my dealership fit that unit as I see they sell them on Ebay for around 500 UK Pounds?

Re: Fitting Navigation Display
Steve, I would not bother with nav. There are kits available, which would involve the purchase of a new plastic binnacle to accommodate the new double din unit complete with nav, or double din sized screen with an accompanying replacement single din controlling it down below. In either case you would loose your obc display. Caska, and the units they sell at stopshop, are chinese made units which are unproven. The latter claims to be compatible with your obc, but good luck with that. And then there is the hassle of getting the correct nav maps loaded. And working. And the whole thing wired to your steering controls. If it were me, buy a kenwood, buy an adapter jack to hook up to your steering controls, and then go buy a garmin or tom tom or something...

Thanks very much for the informative reply, it certainly makes sense as to convert would also cost quite a bit of money just to gain a screen in the centre of the dashboard.

Re: Fitting Navigation Display
Hi every1

New to the forum. Can anyone please advise perhaps, where "plastic binnacles" (new console faces) can be purchased/imported for a 2001,gen 3 SWB? I want to install a Jensen JNA-62BT Audio/DVD & GPS Unit http://www.autostyle.co.za/car-audio/dv ... ation.html
Have to install the unit where the W142 radio and climat-A/C control is now, and move the A/C control down one level, so I am looking for a total solution to the radio section as well as where the climate-A/C control will be. I really hope someone can help here that has some experience in this type of exercise?

I am also looking for the electrical wiring diagram for the same model Pajero, as I am experiencing some problems on the tail lights/brake lights? Would highly appreciate any assistance please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve

Apologies for my lack of know-how using this forum, don't even know how to PM!
Anyway, thanks very much for the electrical fault finding procedure you posted, but is seems to be for generation 2 and not 3. I have a 3rd gen SWB. So if you can perhaps find anything on that CD of yours for Gen 3 it would be highly appreciated?! :?:

Best regards

Re: Fitting Navigation Display
Hi Johan

This wiring diagram came from my workshop manual which covers all makes of Pajero from 2000-2010.
I hope that this helps you.
The CD that I have also covers all Pajero models and a lot more intensively but I could not find the appropriate file to send.
If you need any more info please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards

Steve
