Pajero 3.2 DiD SWB auto transmission problem
I am driving a 2007 SWB 3.2 DiD Pajero with 130000 km on the clock. The vehicle is been well cared for with regular services at the dealer.Recently I experience that whilst cruising at say 100 km /hr that the transmission moves into neutral gear(at this stage both the Neutral and the Drive indicator lights will be on-the gear lever is still in Drive.),and obviously there is no drive on the rear wheels. This is quite scary because I then need to pull off the road, push the gear selector to Park and maybe it will select Drive again and then I can continue with the journey.I had the vehicle at the dealer, spoke to a number of Service Advisors at other dealers but no one seams to have an answer as to what is causing this. The transmission were checked for any error logs but nothing has been recorded.Currently the vehicle is with one of the `leading` Aoto transmission experts who is doing fault finding.Indications are that the neutral solenoid maybe faulty. Are there any suggestions/comments on the particular problem.Thanks.Boet Swanepoel

start with a scan for error codes.

Perhaps it's just the valve body that you can swap out.

Contact wholesaleautomatics in Australia for a nomad upgrade valve body. They are stronger and cheaper than the mitsu one.
