Roelf,
To me the September option with caravan sleepover on the mountain will be the preferred one. However I have a major task ahead to convince SWAMBO. (She has some health problems). I have never had an opportunity to join in on any of the POCSA events, although personally I am dying to do so. So please except this as a vote of preference but I cannot commit as yet.
If we did do the sleepover, I suppose it will be a "wild" camp sleepover setup as apposed to using an official campsite with some facilities? Both ways will suit me with my well equipped ECHO 4X4 Chobe caravan. When traction is reasonable I can pull this beast up most grade 3 kind of tracks. I took her down "van Zyl's" in the past, but scared the hell out of SWAMBO in the process.
Bigwill,
Yip, a mountain sleepover will be wild. Spade for a toilet and everything we need will have to be carted up. The track I have in mind for the caravans isn't too tough - not even almost Van Zyl's class.
So lets keep an eye on reaction and then re-visit the date issue.

Guys, I've never attended a POCSA event but the fact that it is later in the year has made me quite keen to join with the Metalian. I prefer a non-electrical time of the year, shouldn't we do it just before the storms start?

Gerbek,
Noted and yes, I think you should meet a few of the Pajero boys and your Metalion will enjoy a bit of fresh mountain air.

Hi Roelf,
Count me in, I am the traditional type and 27th &28th September will be fine but if there is a change of date it will also be fine. SWAMBO will want to stay in town, no "graaf" (spade) for her. Looking foreward at seeing you all again.

Great stuff Willem.
I think we will have to seriously look at keeping the traditional date. I'll make a "formal announcement

Captain Kirf. Great news. Better talk (read "beg") your wife into buying a Boswa for you That mountain will get seriously cold at night.

Hi Willem,
Great news. We will miss the sound of your V6, but look forward to seeing your new diesel machine.
