The brake pedal on my 2011 Pajero SWB 3.2 DiD Auto has been irritating me since I got the vehicle (one's shoe tends to catch the side of the pedal when you move your foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal - especially under quick braking circumstances). The solution - grinding about 5mm of the bottom right hand side of the brake pedal in a kind of circular fashion. Problem solved now and potential disaster averted!!
I suppose it is better than grinding off a portion of your foot 
Just joking! Was it not feasable to lower the brake pedal by adjustment to prevent your problem?

I thought grinding was a little drastic. I think I would have tried a new pair of shoes first.
Louis, has any work been done on the brakes? My 2003 had that after accident repairs. Turned out a spacer was replaced in the wrong position

Try driving a chevrolet spark with safety boots! 
No Roelf still the same as the day it came out of the factory. I could not see any other way down there to try and adjust the pedal either lower or slightly to the left. Grinding it "off" sounds drastic, but it is hardly noticeable and certainly did the trick for me!!

Do you experience any "inconvenience" when moving the gear lever out of PARK? That was part of the symptoms I experienced after the incorrect repair job. The cable between the gear lever and the brake pedal was too tight.
