This is exactly what I am interested in, thanks for the post. My big question, will it work with the original shocks or do I need to replace the shocks? Any special tools?
I installed 30mm Spacers in the front, and 25mm ones in the rear.
Works fine with original shocks.
Later I removed the rear spacers and replaced the rear springs with OME springs which gave me the same height increase, but that's only because my original rear springs had sagged and were too soft. Original Shocks kept and working till now without problems.

Mine has the original shocks and it works fine.
No special tools required although I used some cheap coil shrinkers (compressors) and that helped a bit. The first one is the hardest to do until u get the hang of it. I will highly recommend this as it is the best value for money upgrade I ever did on the GLX. Next I will do a front Aussie locker, but still saving for that exercise....

Before and after pics for those interrested. As u can see the ARB and extra Battery pulled the nose down quite a bit.

No need for a coil compressor.
The rear springs are easily removed by disconnecting the shocks from the lower cross member.
The front spacers had been installed between the Strut/coil assembly and the car's body without the need to decompress/compress the coils.

Hi,two years ago i fitted "Iron man" coils and shocks...already replaced the shocks once from iron man... then threw then out and fitted normal Gabriels. Now the coils.... at first i was happy with the lift i got and therefor accepted the "Hard ride", now the coils have sagged and the lift is gone...needless to say i am not happy with the money i wasted. I am in two minds at this stage
1.To fit original coils and spacers to retain the softer ride and still get the lift
2.Invest in OME
...sorry if this sounds "kinky" but that is not intended.
Any "proven" advice will be appreciated

Tough Dog or EFS are also good options and better priced than OME. Do some reading up about them, I'm getting EFS on Saturday on my Gen4 (same suspension) so I can give some feedback afterwards.

Oh yes and a friend if mine was chatting to a shock fitment place the other day and he was told that iron man on a Toyota was fine but not to touch it if you have a Mitsubishi, not sure why but I guess it has to do with the development that was done, probably on Toyotas in Aus?

Did you have the EFS fitted? Can you comment?
