Hannibal roof rack fitted a week ago, with 2 x slots for table and solar panel, plus spare wheel, water, fuel, spade, and hi-lift brackets. To best of my knowledge, the FR Slimline II rack can't take 2 slots, only 1 from the back (due to the across-ways direction of the FR slats).

Dual battery system fitted yesterday by Hazard Bonako. New 80AH deep cycle fitted on to a Front Runner bracket from Safari Centre. Was told that 80AH was biggest they could fit in, but I have found an extra 20mm, so will check on Monday if I have any options to go slightly bigger. It has a new type of monitor that Hazard have just launched, which is half the size of the NL one.

Ian.
I've swapped the batteries around, installed a deep cycle starter battery in the "hole at the back" and used the standard battery's location for a monster deep cycle battery. Wynland 4x4 did the work. Never looked back.

252 470km A slightly early oil + oil filter + air filter change (should be at 255 000km) in anticipation of an upcoming trip.

Will rotate the tyres tomorrow.

Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
Rotated tyres:
2 new spares to front, 2 fronts to rear (same side), 2 rears to spares.

Good thing I did this this morning while the fitment centre was still open because it turned out that one of my brand new spares was flat - the fitment centre had incorrectly installed the tpms on that rim (nylon washer inside the rim, when it should have been outside - the correct order is: valve stem nut, steel flat washer, nylon washer, rim, tpms body).

Anyway, it meant that we could lift all 4 wheels off the ground simultaneously for the rotation, which I couldn't achieve at home, so not a train smash. And the fitment centre kindly did not charge me.

Evening all

I towed my quads to Geluksburg this weekend and was an absolute blast, she goes in tomorrow for a chip and rear air bags so let's see how she handles after this. I heard good things of the air bags, anyone had them done?

Cheers

Hi Sushibar, What make air bags are you having installed? What is your reasoning for installing them?
Sorry for all the Q's. My newly acquired gen2 has something similar installed, but is faulty. So interested on your thoughts on air bags.

Took care of the jumping temp gauge by taking out instrument cluster and the PCB at the back and cleaning the contact points.
Now working like it should again! Oh and also fitting two brand new Goodyear Wranglers 265/70/R16 at the back later today.
Running on 346 000km's now so also going in for a 347 500 service at Mitspro tomorrow.
8-)

Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
So today I sent my Gen 4 in for a chip and air suspension, the power is noticeable straight away and is great for overtaking. I will test to air suspension soon when I tow.

I sent it in to Safari Centre for the bags, I'm not sure of the make of bag but how it works is they installed it in the coils with an air pipe installed next to the tow bar, next to each other. You inflate them to 0.5 bar in normal scenarios and then inflate them up to 3 bar when towing. They suggested that you first load your trailer and allow the car to drop and then inflate to level the back. I tow a ski boat that makes the back drop 10 cm when loaded and this is an issue for beach work. It was cheap relatively, 4k

Time will tell, I run trucks with airbags that last 1000 000 kms with 36 tonnes pounding them 24/7. ;)

Thank you for the response sushibar. Looking forward to hearing how the air springs turn out for you.
