Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
Air suspension is the cheapest, most effective suspension mod you can do.
The supplier, Air spring supply company is based in Isando/Jetpark.
I paid around R2500 for mine and fitted it myself on several cruisers and pajero's.
Easy job and shouldn't take more than 2 hours DIY or 12 beers.
A word of advice:
If fitted to coil springs, keep the pressure at around 0.8 bar to prevent pinching by the coils when compressed.
Measure your vehicle height when empty at the tow bar, inflate after loading or hookup, to the same height. Do not try and jackup your vehicles arse with bellows fitted to coils above the normal height
If fitted to leafs springs, never inflate above 3.0 bar as it can damage the chassis as it creates fair amount of load on a small surface

Fitted full EFS suspension system at Rugged4x4 in Meyerton. Can't wait to go off-road now :)

Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
I fitted Stofpad spacer in front and MikeM Coils at the rear
and new 2nd hand Monroe adventurer shocks front and rear, that I bought from Kurt.

AT 175k km my front front shock were done, the rear ones still had a little life left.

The from looks slightly high in comparison with the rear, and I now need to lift the garage door :(

How's the ride and did you get a lift at the back? What were the measurements before and after?

Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
I fitted the jerry can holders on the roof rack today and yuslike the
, front runner products fit so easily and they are neat. I have towed with my air suspension and I can say that it really worked. They squeaked a bit at first but then it went away, what I would like to know is how to inflate them for off road work as I'm worried they pinch when the coils are compresses during articulation?
The chip has made a huge difference on both performance and consumption. I get 9.9 on the open road @ 130, that's cool and the pulling power is very noticeable from standard so good news all around.

Re: What have you done to your Pajero today?
I finally figured out all the possible seat positions on a Gen2 :D Creating a bed at the rear, or front. Inclining the middle seat back rest. How the heck the center seat actually folds up, and slide - who would have guessed that after reading the manual... Both side cables are shot and requires attention, fixed up one and it is already making a difference in usability for the kids! These Pajeros are GREAT!!!

Took off all the roofrack stuff (2nd spare wheel and holder, 2 jerries, gas bottle holder, high lift jack & holder, spade etc.) and then took Dusty for a full house car wash, hand polish and dedust inside after arriving back from 3500km of Zimbabwe's best 4x4 experiences!

Filled up the diesel tanks so that I could arrive at a final fuel consumption for our Zim trip.

3474km 468.19litres -> 13.4769l/100km - not too shabby for a fully laden 2002 LWB Auto with BFG A/Ts and loaded to the gunwales with extra fuel tank, water tank, 2 weeks' worth of groceries, 2 weeks' worth of liquid refreshments, tent, groundsheet, 1 * man's gear bag, 3 * SWAMBO bags, 2nd spare wheel, tools, etc etc etc. Especially when about 8 days of the 14 were 4x4 sand / rocks where 1st and 2nd gear (sometimes even low range) were the order of the day.

Now for Tie in the Dots!

I put back all the stuff that I carry around in the car, being a dedicated overlander and not my daily drive, after I got it back from the engine rebuild. Man do I carry a lot of crap!! But wait until that day that I need one of these gadgets and I left it at home, so I rather pack it 8-) ! With the two extra batteries, this excludes the aux I already have in the engine bay, I estimate the extra weight being carried around constantly before I even start packing food etc to be in the region of 100-150kg! No wonder I could only get 300000kms out of this engine!

Anyway - Done, and suddenly I have some space again in my garage! :-)

PS - Also gave the old girl a spring wash to get rid of some of the winter dust! - Roll on Summer!!
