Hi all,
I have a 2000 2800 TDI SWB. Last of the blister fenders...
Anyway, gaining access to the rear seat is obviously done by tilting the front seat and sliding it forward, then push the backrest back, then slide the entire thing backwards into a locked position when you're done
However, the driver's seat just tilts forward and refuses to unlock and slide.
I've not applied my mind or limited technical ability to this, but if anyone has any ideas on this before I begin, I'd appreciate it.

If it is designed like the Genartion3, which I think it is, it WONT slide forward. ONLY the passenger seat will slide as much forward to allow access to the rear seats. This is a safety feature apparently to keep the rear passengers from getting out on the street side. By allowing only the passenger seat to slide/tilt passengers will always get in and out on kerbside.trevori wrote:Hi all,

The drivers seat should however slide a little bit to allow one to get comfortable behind the steering wheel when seated?
