I see them mentioned now and then, but nobody has given any feedback?
The views are that they are top notch but expensive. I've been quotes R1700 for KYB (the OEMs off which i got 140k kms) and R2400 a shock for the bilsteins.
Se reckon I should get over 200k kms on the bilsteins... Seems worth it for only R700 diff?

One of the advantages of Bilstein is that they can be serviced / repaired.
They are top notch shocks and future repairs should be considerably less than replacement.
I had a set on the Gen1 and I was very happy with them.

The price difference is actually not so bad - only about 40%, meaning if I get more than 200k kms on them it will definitely be worth it.

Bilsteins have always been known as excellent shocks, you really can't go wrong. Price is high but I suppose you get what you pay for?
PS - growing up in the 80's, I remember my father and uncles always talking about Bilsteins being the best shocks on the market, must mean something?

OK - i"ve had them for a few days on now. Cant say the ride is softer/harder than the KYBs... but the car does seem a lot more stable.
That said, only my front right shock was busted, but I replaced both front ones.

Hi Guys, talking about shocks, I replaced the rear shocks on my 2002 did 3.2 LWB GLS with Monroe's. The rear end of the Pajero still sways a bit more than I would like it to. Will better shocks solve the problem or must we start to consider coils as well. Done about 285000 before I replaced the originals. I'm used to a sure footed rear end and this side swaying worries not only me, but the passengers in the rear also becomes aware of it.
Any ideas? how would OME or Bilstein perform
