Hi all
I once had a link saved to the pdf downloads of the Pajero. I can't find it.
I am looking for any manual / download / pdf / information of the breakdown of the whole rear axle.
As I have no trust with the dealers, I would like to understand the whole set up and see if I can spot where a certain noise might be emitting from.
Thanks
Hi KaiV

Assuming you mean the seals at the inner end of the driveshafts - Yes. Its a bit of a pain, you really do better on a lift.Erik53 wrote:Very easy drawings to read.

I took mine to my indi and he did it while I waited - about 30 minutes a side.
Do both sides at the same time.
Where are you in RSA?
Hi Andrew
Yes the inner seals. I have bought the seal from agents R180.00 each not bad. I'm in Cape Town u say that more or less 30 mins a side. I got a estimate for R2000.00 for one side
I think I need to shop around

mmm that is ridiculous - I paid R1000 total (R500 per side) excl the parts, which I supplied OEM from Mitsu. And in my case I did it over two separate visits to the indi - i.e. one side and then a month later the other - stupid of me. Could have probably got the pair done for R750 if I had done them together.Erik53 wrote:Hi Andrew

Van going in tomorrow to replace both rear drive shaft seals R950

Okay
I had both seals replaced cost R950 I supplied the seals and the oil.
My Question is : Is it possible to overfill the diff? I know the filling point is also the level. I gave them 4 bottles the diff takes 1.6ltrs I got maybe 100ml back. MY CONCERN IS I NOW HAVE A HUMMING NOISE FROM THE REAR BUT ONLY WHEN PULLING AWAY THROUGH ALL THE GEARS BUT WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS THE VIBRATION IS GONE

Hi Guys
Sorry for the text in previous post To answer my own question no damage will be caused by over filling the diff. My problem lies with my trailing arm bushes they are shot to hell hence my vibration.
Okay can one get polyurethane bushes to replace the rubber ones ?
