Please I need help.I have a 2014 3.2diesel Pajero and fitted Old Man Emu suspension.It just feels to hard,so much so that it feels like things are going to fall apart when you traveling on a dirt road.Does anybody know what the problem is and what to do.

Let JohnG or I fix your dash, the Paj has a generally hard ride due to suspension setup but the dash is very rattly. Where do you stay?

So there are two issues here:

1. The dashboard flex - see Kurt's reply above - this can largely be fixed.
2. The ride. For OME there are multiple possible setups -
2.1 NO BULL BAR / LIGHT OR ALLOY BULL BAR - MEDIUM LOAD
Recommended for vehicles with no bull bar and carrying loads of 0kg to GVM. Optimum performance will be achieved with loads up to 200kg. Front lift: 35mm, rear lift: 40 mm.
Components in this kit include:

Coil Springs (Front) (2915 x 1 pair)
Coil Springs (Rear) (2917 x 1 pair)
Nitrocharger Sport Strut (90006 x 2)
Nitrocharger Sport Shock (Rear) (60019 x 2)

Estimated Lift:

Front: 35MM
Rear: 40 MM

2.2 NO BULL BAR / LIGHT OR ALLOY BULL BAR - 200 KGS LOAD
Recommended for vehicles with no bull bar and carrying loads of 200kg to GVM. Optimum performance will be achieved with loads of 200kg to 300kg. Front lift: 35mm, rear lift: 40 mm.
Components in this kit include:

Coil Springs (Front) (2915 x 1 pair)
Coil Springs (Rear) (2918 x 1 pair)
Nitrocharger Sport Strut (90006 x 2)
Nitrocharger Sport Shock (Rear) (60033 x 2)

Estimated Lift:

Front: 35MM
Rear: 40 MM

2.3 NO BULL BAR / LIGHT OR ALLOY BULL BAR - 300 KGS LOAD
Recommended for vehicles with no bull bar and carrying loads of 300kg to GVM. Optimum performance will be achieved with loads in excess of 300kg. Front lift: 35mm, rear lift: 40 mm.
Components in this kit include:

Coil Springs (Front) (2915 x 1 pair)
Coil Springs (Rear) (2995 x 1 pair)
Nitrocharger Sport Strut (90006 x 2)
Nitrocharger Sport Shock (Rear) (60033 x 2)

Estimated Lift:

Front: 35MM
Rear: 40 MM

So if you have say the spring combination Front: 2915, Rear: 2918 and you are driving with no additional load, you are going to find the ride somewhat harsh.

It's all a trade-off / compromise - if you want the OEM ride you can't have the lift through harder (OME) springs, if you want the OME lift, you can't have the OEM ride.

That is why some people choose spacers + airhelpers in the rear springs, keeping the OEM springs.

At the end of the day, if you are going for 3rd party springs like OME, you need to select the right spring combination based on how you kit your vehicle out (bull bars, winch, extra batteries, LR tank, water tank, extra spare tyre etc etc).

So for instance I have the softest EFS spring (+150kg rated) plus the correct air helpers for that higher ride height. I find this gives me the most flexibility in terms of daily drive unloaded + periodic cross-border trips loaded to the hilt!

If you have the wrong OME spring for your usage pattern you may find that you can get the fitment center to change them for more suitable ones for a bit of labour + a handling fee. Talk to your fitment center if you are not happy.

hey John, let us know what you think of the dash fix. As said on the phone, I didn't put brackets in because your later model uses the holes for wire harness plugs but I did the cable fix instead on the centre section. I'm keen to understand how well it has worked compared to brackets. Let us know please.

I had to change a left oil seal on my front diff, and I found this sticker on my coil spring.

Look like the original owner (Before Skillie) had Old Man Emu (OME) fitted (2915 at the front) - I need to see if I can see what he put on the rear as I cant see any stickers remaining.

The spec on page 132 of "OME_guide_current" says for the rear:

1. 21mm Dia for the 2917 (up to 200kg permanent load)
2. 22mm for the 2918 (200-300kg permanent load)
3. 22mm for the 2995 (+ 300kg permanent load)
