Cats, I'm not quite sure I follow your "itch" comment. I have been throwing money at the old guy, if that is what you mean? Not sure if I could have avoided any of those costs, but it would be great if it will stop now. I keep reminding myself what a new Pajero will cost.
I had three hours to kill yesterday in Nelspruit after leaving my red beast on the ramp at the suspension shop. Played with my phone on a pizza shop varandah and toyed with the idea of phoning my sales connection at the GM garage to bring a new Izuzu around for a test drive.
My tyres seem OK. Only had them on tar thus far (wet and dry) and all is well - grip and noise wise.
I'm leading a MOTH gathering up the mountain tomorrow, but I'll be driving a new (sponsored) bakkie - still unsure if it will be from the GM or Ford dealership.

So it turned out to be a Fortuner from the Toyota dealer - two wheel drive D4D auto with 18k on the clock. Nice car, but I didn't really like the box and ride is quite hard.
That said, my new shocks and new bushes have firmed up the old Pajero's ride as well - I think I like it.
