Which batteries?
It seems like my Gen 3 DiD needs a new battery. It has not given any trouble, but when I check the National Luna display, it shows only one or two green bars. As I am going on a long trip, I thought I should replace it as it is three years old.

At the moment I have a Raylite Ultimate AGM battery. Any other brands or models I should look at?

My deep charge battery is also suspect. It is a Varta Professional AGM 75aH. Again, is there any other brand or model I should look at?

I have just put the start battery on my CTek charger. It immediately went into Recondition mode. Does that mean the battery is shot?

Re: Which batteries?
I dont think any well known brand is any better or worse than any other. I would just try and get the biggest battery that can fit in there. Definately not less ah than the original spec.

Not sure on the Ctec but I wiuls not say that going to recondition mode would necessarily mean dud battery.

Re: Which batteries?
I have had very good service from a Silver Calcium battery from MIDAS (Rebranded FNB). Its going on 5 years now where my previous (very expensive!) VARTA barely made 3 years.

Also have an EXIDE Silver Calcium in my caravan which has now passed 6 years and is still going strong.
