Pajero Gen 3 D1D 2006 LWB
The control arm rubbers are past its usable time and needs replacement. Agents does not sell separately and wants about R13k for new control arms both sided (upper and lower)
I know it is available as replacement rubbers that you can just press into place at a fraction of the cost. I heard it is available in different type of "rubber" and some types of "rubber" effects ride quality. I am mostly on tar but like plenty of gravell with seldome in serious 4x4.
Where can I get these rubbers? Johannesburg/Pretoria area. Can anyone help with the Part# or point me in the quickest direction
The same goes for the diff mounting rubbers. Please help.
I had a few of those (upper front control arms and rear trailing arms) replaced in Nelspruit. The suspension shop has a whole range of rubber bush sizes and they simply select the appropriate size and then press it in.
I also replaced all 4 shocks at the same time, so I can't honestly comment on the effect of the new rubber bushes. I do know that I am happy with the car after the shocks and bushes.
