Home safely. Seven Pajeros done over two days in the beautiful Durban and Howick area. Thanks guys for the hospitality and the good (humid) weather. Give us feedback when you can, would love to hear if there was a difference

I think these two deserve some sort of medal or something. At least a thank you from Mitsubishi SA. Many a Pajero owner would have steered clear (if they knew about the dash problem before hand) if it was not for John and Kurt's efforts, or stayed on smooth surfaces (what a waste). Talking of MSA, why no sound on the subject? Are they even aware of this forum or don't they care about a group of clients who has a passion for their product? Maybe it's part of the reason why Mitsubishi is slowly fading away (rember the days when Pajero was the top of luxury and 4x4 driving) and why the Sport, a better car according to all the comparisons, could not even make a dent in Fortuner sales (even while it was rolling all over the place). Anyway, where was I? Well done John and Kurt, don't go away, many of us will be looking for your magic in the future.
Mitsu SA is aware of the problem. They pioneered the first bracket design. Not quite up to standard. They are not keen on fitting brackets and many dealers actually don't acknowledged the existence of these brackets.
Mitsu Japan only say the dash is within spec and it doesn't require any mods.

We have pulled a good couple of Mitsu brackets out of cars we have done, the common one that some Mitsu dealers have installed are completely useless. One guy I did had a decent attempt at it but John's design is the business.
And Roelf is 100% right. A corporate such as Mitsu won't be obliged to make a big deal about a non-safety or cosmetic issue, the moving dash is just a nuisance so why cause an alarm? John and I will continue as long as we need to....

Thanks again to John and Kurt, I am really in awe of the effort that you guys put in around the country. So far there is a huge improvement in the rattles and groans coming from the dash, in fact they have all gone.
Sorry we couldn't do anything about the humidity on Saturday but that's Dbn in January!!
