Pajero IO GDI 1997 Model (What is this for)
Good day Guys. I have a 1997 Pajero IO GDI. I have recently traveled on a real rough strip of dirt road in Botswana. when I reached a tar road again, I could hear a rattle of note coming from below the Paj. I jacked the vehicle up, only to find a loose block of rubber in the bracket as per photos. This is a rubber block about 1 inch thick which were sort of glued (??) to the sides of the metal bracket. This bracket is below the drive shaft where it meets with the rear differential box.
Any idea to the purpose of this bracket / guard and will it effect anything if I do not replace the bracket/guard with a new one but keep it fitted without the rubber part ?
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
