well it's seems my alternator has packed up and cant find another one,the auto electrician says he has a colt one that bolts straight on,any body know the long term effects of this or will this work?????!!!

The amperage on the colt 4m40 alternator is lower at 90amps vs the 140amps on the pajero.. it might work for the short term but don't know how long it will survive thereafter...
Ps. I bought one from online car parts and it was dead out the box.. the replacement one worked fine though.. unless your within driving distance from them don't deal with them
