Roelf,

So, are you going to arrange some gals to dance for us?? That is for old time sake

You'd better believe that
Re: BARBERTON Tie In The Dots 2016.
Roelf, without stomping on your parade here may I ask/ offer the following for the event:
a) I have a nice large stainless braai on half a drum. I find it more social to have one big braai.
b) We have a portable shower.
c) We have a large cooler specifically for ice.
d) We enjoy our peace & quiet when camping. We run our setup on solar and could cope with two nights without 220v. However some members might find they are not able to manage without any 220v. ie We have a generator available. The ladies can all also dry their hair (makes them less grumpy in mornings!!). What we would propose if need be is to run it during the day when we are not there to charge batteries and run freezers etc. Let me know.
Re: BARBERTON Tie In The Dots 2016.
Hi Peter,

We really don't have rules.

a) Last year we had a huge central fire. The guys scratched out embers as required and braaied around the edges. I'm sure some guys would like a comfy drum braai and you are welcome to drag it up the mountain.

We'll still have the big central fire.

b) There was one portable shower last year. Bring your's and enjoy it and feel free to sell tickets to the other girls on the mountain.

c) I have yet to experience too much ice. Bring as much as you need and maybe the other guys will take some off your hands. I found most Pajero owners on the mountain to be experienced outdoor-types and nobody seemed in need of anything.

d) Roughly the same answer. The guys and girls on the mountain seemed pretty much comfortable with their setups. But I'm convinced nobody will mind a generator running while we are on the road.

Peter, part of the enjoyment of the weekend is to inspect and discuss the other Pajero's equipment, accessories and camp setup. I want to go so far as to say it is an opportunity to showcase the way you do the outdoors. We also like to learn from each other, and a well appointed setup is always welcome. All I can showcase is "minimalistic", but that is just me.

Same format as last year. We gather Fri afternoon at a watering hole. When everyone has arrived, we crawl up the mountain (with our heavy trailers in tow, Kurt) and form a lager on Eureka City's tennis court.

Saturday we do our mountain expedition, and Sunday morning we all go down the mountain again.

The only facility I can provide on the mountain is a chemical toilet, all the rest is up to you.
Great, we are in, no clashing dates this year. Also happy there is a chem toilet as this was Swambo's concern. Just a quick note. Jill and I got tick bite fever on the first trip, our own fault through not taking enough precautions. So if we smell funny it will be the liberal dosing of various chemicals, not our natural body odours. We off course know that Afrikaans stock have a natural immunity and that after biting an Afrikaner, the tick dies.

Garlic will also be eaten in large quantities and possibly even rubbed all over our bodies :D

Looking forward to this 8-)

Martin the master mechanic has offered to assist with the fitting, much easier on his lift.
