Any recent front wheelbearing replacements?
Mine started with that metal-on-metal sound every now and then. I decided to strip and relace after 320 000km on the clock. Only to find out today that the bearing assembly is only ex-Japan available @ R3.5k each. Can that be true??
I started to source at all bearing suppliers to find a NSK 50KWH01E for just +R1k. The original one exactly the same number with suffix "/b" following the number.
Anybody knowledge on using the NSK bearing?
Feedback will be appreciated before I import or buy the local one.
Thanks
Marthinus
There was talk of a replacement part from Masterparts. Remember it is a complete hub, not just the bearing.

Thanks Cats. The link was very helpful, however I managed to install the NSK 50KWH01E hub purchased from BMG under item code JWB3066 for +R1k.

For that price, I will definately do the remaining 3 as a preventative measure.
The following link gives the different hub bearings from NSK: For that price, I will definately do the remaining 3 as a preventative measure.
Thank you for these posts and the detail provided. They have been a great help to me sourcing new front wheel bearings for my Pajero. The price from the dealers was R 4900 each as compared to
R 1150 from BMG. Availability and delivery period was also much better.
Thanks.
