Some weeks ago I came across a Post which had available a full set of wiring diagrams. A file size of around 500MB was mentioned i.e. too large to download but which could fit on a CD. Unfortunately I neglected to note where on the Forum this was and now I cannot find it! I would much appreciate being directed to it.
Thanks in anticipation, from Entabeni.
I need the same thing, but I can't send any PM as I am new on this forum. Have you find wiring manual for 3.2 DiD engine?
Send me your email address, will send them to you.chinas wrote:I need the same thing, but I can't send any PM as I am new on this forum. Have you find wiring manual for 3.2 DiD engine?

Slightly off topic but does the plug under the seat of a Gen4 that disconnects the beep sounds when starting (without the seat belt on) affect the airbag operation in any way?

I would be hesitant to do that, airbags might not deploy in an accident if the srs ecu picks up that the driver or passenger isn't buckled up due to the seat belt sensor being deactivated.gerbek1 wrote:Slightly off topic but does the plug under the seat of a Gen4 that disconnects the beep sounds when starting (without the seat belt on) affect the airbag operation in any way?

Hi Nicholas,
Will it be possible to send me the info on the PAjero wiring diagram as well? jp at jpit dot co dot za.
We have a 2003 Gen3 with 3.2diD, NON-commonrail. THe engine ran into some trouble and after exhaustive searching, could not find a NON-commonrail engine. All we found was a 3.2diD commonrail motor from wrecked PAjero SPort, complete with main harness, computer box, ignition, pedal(fly-by-wire type) and extra sensors (assume air-mass / air temp sensors).
Right, so the engine install is bolt on - well, relatively. Minor modifications to engine mounts, minor pipe deivations etc...
Following advice, we are aware (or led to believe....??) that:
1. The original harness stays intact, except for engine wiring.
2. The new ECU will only take care of engine management, and will run simultaneously with original harness.
3. ingition will be set up that the turn of original key, will provide power to new ignition, ECU and to the starter, with orignal harness intact.
4. "display stuff" from the engine (REVS, speed, engine temp etc) need to be tapped in from the new harness....
At the moment, we are stuck without a wiring diagram of any sort for gen4/pajero sport harness, so do not know which of the 100's of wires/plugs do what. also do not have a wiring diagram of the gen3, so if we find what we are looking for from the gen4 wiring, do not know where it goes.....
Any help, advice, contact numbers, prayers or the like, will be much appreciated. Rewards also applies, monetary or otherwise.

Be very careful with unplugging stuff under the seat. Some vehicles (LR Disco for sure)has seat position sensor that the ECU picks up and tell the airbag how much to deploy ie a short person near the steering wheel does not need 100% inflation vs a tall person sitting further back. Then there are also plugs for the seatbelt pretensioner, seat heaters, movement, seat airbags etc. Just be sure of what you are unplugging.

From my internet reading the only wire that suit your requirements on a gen4 Pajero is the wire for the wipers.
