Just thought I would post this in case someone has a similar problem. I had a terrible squeak from the front end when come to a stop and the car rocks on its suspension, sounds like rubber squeaking on metal. See this you video of exactly what I am describing, but there solution is incorrect.

Of course in trying to solve this I had every suggestion from control arm bushings and ball-joints to shocks, all expensive replacement items. Drove the car into Mitspro and Freek Jnr had a quick listen, suggested the sway bar/ stabilizer bar bushing need to be cleaned and should book the car in for the morning, they were very busy year end services. When I checked the bushes there was a 'canvas' type material hanging out of the rubber bush. I decided to try source new bushes, they where relatively inexpensive, Midas quoting R90 but not having stock, so I tried the agents and they were R140 each. When I looked at the new part there seems to be a lining of a canvas like material on the inside, this I presume stops the rubber on metal squeak. I removed the standard radiator bash plate and then released the bolts holding the bushing and sway bar in place, cleaned the sway bar and bracket, installed the new bushes and assembled everything again. Took me a little over and hour to do the whole job. Happy to say, absolutely no noise
