Hi,
I changed the oil in my Front and Rear Diffs as well as transfer case on my Pajero this weekend.
The volume of oil I replaced for the diffs was as per spec (1.15L front and 1.6L rear).
However, I only got about 2.3L (spec is 2.8L) back into the transfer case - anyone else experienced this?
Maybe I didn't get everything out?
Cheers,
Greg
Greg, I had the same experience. So it does seem like not all of the old oil will off when you open the drain plug.

I had the same issue. Both front and back diffs took the correct amount of oil but the transfer case only took 2lt. I then dropped the car off the jacks and managed to get another approximately 300ml in afterwards.
